Finally, Laura and I picked a stock image today and I began editing it in Illustrator. I put the book covers into the frames and adjusted the frames to fit the book covers. Then I worked on adjusting the sizes of the entire set so that they would all fit on the banner, but still … Continue reading Day 14
Today I continued searching for a good stock image of picture frames. I narrowed down my choices by asking only for vector images, so that I could change the sizes of the picture frames to fit the cover images, and make any other changes I might come across as I make the banners. Laura had … Continue reading Day 13
I continued work on the cover templates today, until I received a new project at the end of my shift. I am to make three web banners for a book sale that the LSU Press is having in February. First, Laura and I discussed the project and the due date (Jan. 31st), and decided to … Continue reading Day 12

Laura was absent today, so I deferred to Mandy for information and help, as well as Barbara and Michelle. Laura had told me previously that I should go to Mandy first, if Laura was not here. Mandy suggested that I go ask Kate about the book signing posters, and see if they were ready to … Continue reading Day 8
Today Laura and I arrived at the same time, 8:30. There was a small design project for me to work on; signs for book signings. As usual, I was given the copy for the two signs, consisting of authors and their book titles, and the times that they would be available for book signings. I … Continue reading Day 7
Today was another slow day at the LSU Press for design work. Since I didn’t have anything to design, Laura had me finish the Excel sheet I was filling out yesterday. There were some specs that I couldn’t find in the files on the computer, so I went to the LSU Press library, where they … Continue reading Day 6
Since Laura wasn’t in when I arrived, and there were no projects for me to work on, I organized my rough draft PDFs and other files into a folder on the desktop of my computer at the press. At 9, Laura arrived and showed me how to find information on POD (Print on Demand) sheets … Continue reading Day 5
